EMERGENCY! was first broadcast thirty-eight years ago

on Saturday, January 15, 1972

as a two-hour pilot movie for the series . . . . . . . .

with weekly one-hour episodes beginning January 22, 1972.

For six and one-half years, we shared their adventures

as they defined "hero" and made emergency medicine and paramedics household words.

And a generation grew up with a dream of service,
